Pilar Cuban Eatery

Wow! So good. My boyfriend is Cuban and loved it!! Everything was amazing, full of flavor and packaged nicely. I had to call to ask a question about my order and they were so nice on the phone and thanked me for calling to ask any questions I had about the food. The food arrived early and was still hot. I can't believe I've never noticed this place on grubhub before. I'll definitely order again and again!

I love this place! between ordering from them On Grubhub or taking my dog to the patio and eating there a couple times a week-the food is consistently delicious. My least favorite thing on the menu is their Cubano sandwich but the Pernil, Cuban burger, Brunch Benedict and Empanadas are some of the best in NYC.

I really love Pilar, and a plus is the nice service over the phone. They sound nice not like you are annoying anyone with a TO GO order.

This is my most favorite Cuban eatery - the ropa vieja is always PERFECT! And that's delivery. I highly recommend Pilar!

Love this place, a bit on the pricey side but the food never disappoints

I dont ever review but I felt I had to for Pilar. They messed up my order once: sent me the wrong sandwich and missing another item. When I called they sent me the correct sandwich, my missing item, and an apology treat. I order-in frequently and Ive never had a restaurant do that usually its only the missing / incorrect item. I wasnt a regular there and I probably wont be one in the future, but Im confident every time I order from pilar that theyll get it right or theyll stand by their service.

Shout out to their cilantro sauce! Comes with the plantain chips but not w/ enough sauce. ALWAYS GET EXTRA. They sell it but its a small cup. I wish they sold a large container of it. :nudge:

If you haven't ordered from here or been yet you are missing out big time..
When they added delivery service it was one of the best days of my life ( food wise )
My faves are... empanadas, rice and beans, the shrimp, white bean soup and don't forget to try the chirros that come with a choice of 3 sauces. ..
Ohhhhh and try their cilantro sauce it's amazing. .

The food was delicious and came way before I thought and I thought it would take awhile bc of the usual delivery time on the restaurant blurb (which I feel most ppl ignore). And on top of all that the delivery guy actually came up to my door which no one ever does.

Caldo Gallego soup, rice and black beans; with bacolod croquettes made a very delicious meal for me. Iwaited 30 minutes beyond the promised arrival time, but that's been the pattern with this place.

Love Pilar and evidently they're faster than seamless thinks. Delivery was 20 mins early! It was great, but I trusted the projected time and wasn't home. Ran back and everything was fine.
